Wizard rock is a genre made up of several different bands and artists with several different styles of music, all on the topics of the Harry Potter books. I was just wondering how many other people had heard of it and listen to it. What are your favorite bands? I've heard several bands, but there are many I haven't heard as they're not available on last.fm. Of the ones I've heard, my favorites are:

Hollow Godrick beautiful folkrock
the Hermione Crookshanks Experience soft smooth folk
Swish & Flick the naughtier side of WRock, with a kind of club sound
Peeved
The Brothers Black
the Purebloods
The Curse Brakers - These are mostly comedy, with a couple of exceptions in the last two cases.
Ministry of Magic
Muggle Relations
Malfoy Manor and Split Seven Ways Both fronted by the same person, mostly bruding and reflective. Mostly from the perspectives of members of the Black family, especially the three Black sisters.

The website is

There is a complete list of the bands and a little about them on there, but I didn't find a link to listen to the songs.

Thanks, I just found that website last night. I found a sendspace link for some music I would've liked to hear, but it had expired. Looks like they do have some good stuff up there in terms of info and interviews though, although I didn't check that section. As I've said, all the stuff I've heard was on last.fm, and a little on youtube.

I don't know. I've heard a few songs from them, but I can't recall the names of any of them. They were alright as I recall. I know there are several I didn't mention; I was just sticking to my favorites. Harry and the Potters were the first though, so undoubtedly it's gotten better since then...

Ministry of Magic
The Parselmouths old stuff with ex band member Britanny
